Musa seeks Europa consolation

MUSA
Ahmed Musa has told MTNFootball.com CSKA Moscow will fight to play in Europa League after they crashed out of the Champions League.
The hope of CSKA Moscow advancing beyond the group stage of UEFA Champions League was dashed after Wednesday’s 3-1 home loss to champions Bayern Munich.

“We did our best to qualify for the next stage of the Champions League but couldn’t. I am hoping we will secure a place in Europa League now,” Musa told MTNFootball.com.
The Nigeria international started against Bayern on Wednesday but was later replaced in the second half.

CSKA are currently third in Group D standings with three points behind Bayern Munich and Manchester City.
They will be away to bottom team Viktoria Plzen, who are yet to win any points, in the last group game on December 10.
