Al Ahly have announced the absence of their defender Sherif Abdul Fadil for their opening match of the FIFA Club World Cup due to injury.
Al Ahly will play their first match against the Chinese Champion Guangzhou Evergrande on Saturday at the Aghdir stadium.
"Abdul Fadil has an injury to his leg and needs more than three days to recover so he will not be available for our next clash " Al Ahly doctor Ehab Ali told supersport.com.
While their ace Mohamed Abu Trika will play the Cairo based team will also miss their veteran winger Sayed Moawad who tore his thigh muscle in their friendly match against Maghreb Fez last Sunday.
