Davidson is current WBO African light middleweight champion, Australia light middleweight champion and Pan Pacific light middleweight champion. A packed bill will see Davidson fight for the title, which is now vacant after he was stripped of it having failed to defend it in over a year. Davidson opted to defend the WBO title in Nigeria but several factors prevented the fight. If he beats Tetteh, he will get a top 10 ranking with the WBO, which puts him in the position for a world title tilt in the future. “I want to get this out of the way because the biggest picture in front of me now is to destroy this boy and get him out of the way,” Davidson told reporters in Southampton during an open workout on Thursday. “I think in four or five fights I will be there and get to the number one spot. “Winning this fight would put me back in the world top 10 and that is a platform to get ready. I am going to be focussed and training properly. “I will be very professional because I have the back up now and I need to stand my ground properly and pray to God to stay safe from injury and then my dream will come true. “When I went back home (in Nigeria) I was training properly, running every day and now I’m here I am blending it up.”
