Kenyan Actress, Nyong’o Has Been Nominated For Bafta Award

 


Little did we know that 12 Years A Slave will make such a buzz, it has become one of the most talked about movie since 2013, based on the autobiography of Solomon Northup, a free man from upstate New York, who was lured to Washington DC in 1841, kidnapped and sold into slavery is giving its actors and actresses a place in different award nominations , Kenyan actress, Lupita Nyong’o is among the nominees for this year’s EE Bafta Rising Star Award.


Nyong’o is nominated for best supporting actress at this year’s Golden Globes and was handed the breakthrough performance award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival over the weekend, and more can still be on the way, her colleagues, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Michael Fassbender along with McQueen and the film itself, are tipped to win Oscars. These guys are competing with the best actors from other movies.

The nominees were selected by a group of jurors including actress Gemma Arterton, deputy chair of Bafta’s film committee Pippa Harris and film critic Mark Kermode. We hope this movie take them to the very top where they can laugh at the end of the day with the awards they have been nominate
