Lily Allen Regrets Turning Down £61million’ Deal With Bitcoin

Lily Allen is one of the UK’s most successful female solo recording artists, this means money is not really her problem but when she turned down a gig worth £61 million, she couldn’t forgive herself, she has not gotten over it because the money could have make her richer, the gist was that she was asked to perform on the website, Second Life, which she would have been paid in the ‘virtual’ currency, Bitcoin. Interestingly, Lily only worth £6 million.
“About five years ago someone asked me to stream a gig live on Second Life for hundreds of thousands of Bitcoins,” Allen reveals. “As if, I said.” The singer, who gave birth to her second child,Marnie Rose, in January last year, came back to the music industry at the end of last year, recording a festive version of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know for the John Lewis Christmas advert. Although Allen planned to come back to the charts eventually, she was expecting to be out of action for at least a couple more years.

She said : ‘I wasn’t surprised to come back again, but I was surprised to want to so soon. It’s been quite a shock … a lot has changed in four years.’  Allen will be taking her music on the road this year, revealing she will be embarking on a mammoth 16 weeks of live shows, including Glastonbury. Of Glastonbury she told Radio 1′s Nick Grimshaw: ‘It got confirmed yesterday. That’s the first big thing I’m going to be doing.
